This Privacy Policy explains what information Star Shine ("the App," "we," "us") collects when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address (or Google account info, if you sign in with Google)
• Your name, birth date, birth time, and birth place, which you provide to generate your astrology, numerology, and tarot readings
• Your reading history and saved favorites within the app

If you purchase Star Shine Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Generate personalized readings (astrology, tarot, numerology, I Ching) using your birth data and name
• Maintain your account and reading history across devices
• Process Star Shine Pro subscription payments
• Show ads via Google AdMob to free-tier users (see "Advertising" below)

AI-Generated Readings

Your birth data and name are sent to our backend, which uses a third-party AI provider to generate personalized reading text. This data is used solely to generate your reading and is not used to train third-party AI models.

Advertising

Free-tier users see ads served through Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers to show relevant ads. Star Shine Pro subscribers do not see ads. You can control ad personalization through your device's privacy settings.

Data Storage & Security

Your account and profile data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore). We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including access rules that restrict your data to your own account.

Your Rights

You can view and edit your profile information at any time from the app's Profile screen. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Profile → Delete Account. This is irreversible.

Children's Privacy

Star Shine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
